An ancient practice for our time.
Exploring the way of the pilgrim.
WHO WE ARE
It has been said that a pilgrimage “is a prayer in the shape of a journey to a place where Spirit resides.” A journey that asks those called to it to leave the familiarity of their day-to-day lives and listen to the longing placed in their hearts. It begins with a call. The call often emerges at key times of crisis or transition in our lives.
Pilgrimage is a profound act of responding to that call by trusting what is happening, even when it is steeped in mystery, and taking one step, and then another, toward the beckoning unknown.
This kind of pilgrimage is an ancient practice that is being reborn for our times. For thousands of years, everyday people, seekers, and mystics responded to the call and walked the great pilgrim paths of the world. In an age marked by speed and disconnection, pilgrimage offers another way—an embodied practice of putting our lives, and our bodies, into motion so that we might listen and be addressed.
What happens on pilgrimage does not remain only within us; how we encounter the Divine, ourselves, one another, and the living world shapes how we return to our ordinary lives. It is perhaps no surprise that thousands are once again returning to the ancient ways of the pilgrim.
If you find yourself being allured toward this ancient way, we invite you to explore the pathways below and consider joining the community of Pilgrims.

Camino InglésFerrol to Santiago de Compostela

“What is a pilgrim soul? It is a soul that says ‘not yet’...it is a student, a searcher, a sojourner here below, a wanderer not quite satisfied with anything except the Infinite.”
–Ravi Ravindra
Companionship
Companionship is one of our oldest spiritual practices: making space to walk alongside another person for a season. It's for those preparing for a pilgrimage, integrating one afterward, or when it has become clear that something more is calling and wants to be explored with another. Pilgrim Venture offers three types of Companionship:
-

Personal Companionship
One-to-one Companionship for those entering a season of change, noticing a fresh call on their life, or wanting to deepen into a contemplative unfolding. In sessions we explore listening well, living with questions, and discerning how to respond faithfully over time.
-

Pilgrim Companioning
For those preparing to leave on pilgrimage, or making their way back from one. Companionship offers a space to prepare your intentions for the road, and to integrate your experience when you return.
-

Written Companioning
Companionship through the medium of pen and paper. A slower way to do this work, where each letter becomes a pilgrim record that can be returned to for many years.
-
WILDERNESS VIGIL
A pilgrimage into solitude and conversation with the sacred through the land. This rite of passage asks you to cross the threshold into a time of solo fasting, held in community and rooted in an ancient practice brought into our contemporary lives.
