Policies & Participation
Last updated: 9/26
Pilgrim Venture is operated by Pathwise Ventures LLC, based in Pennsylvania, USA. These policies apply to programs booked through the Pilgrim Venture website.
Each pilgrimage, wilderness experience, or companionship offering has its own program information and participant agreement. Those materials are part of your agreement with Pilgrim Venture. If anything on this page differs from the terms for a particular offering, the offering-specific terms apply.
-
Each program's price, payment schedule, and cancellation terms are published on its program page or part of the participant's agreement with Pilgrim Venture. Please read them carefully before signing and making payment.
Pilgrim Venture may need to change or cancel a program when conditions make it unsafe or impracticable to proceed. This can include weather, trail conditions, illness, travel disruptions, or circumstances beyond our control. The relevant program terms will explain how payments are handled in those circumstances.
-
Pilgrim Venture programs ask participants to take responsibility for their own preparation and participation. Each program has different physical, emotional, spiritual, and logistical demands. Participants must provide accurate health, emergency-contact, and travel information when requested, and must meet the requirements described for the program.
Pilgrim Venture may decline or end someone’s participation when safety, health, conduct, or the well-being of the group requires it. Further details are included in each program’s participant agreement.
-
For travel programs, Pilgrim Venture may request information needed to plan and operate the experience, including passport details, health information, emergency contacts, and travel information. This information is used only for program planning, safety, and administration, and is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes and any applicable recordkeeping obligations.
Please see the Privacy Policy, below, for more about how personal information is collected, used, and stored.
-
Companionship through Pilgrim Venture may include coaching, spiritual direction, and attentive conversation. It is not psychotherapy, medical care, crisis support, or legal or financial advice. Clients receive a separate agreement describing the scope of the relationship, confidentiality, scheduling, payment, and cancellation.
-
Pilgrim Venture may offer programs jointly or in conjunction with other entities. When this occurs, registration will occur through the responsible entity. The Wilderness Vigil offered with the Center for Wild Spirituality is a Center for Wild Spirituality program. Registration, participant agreements, program policies, and insurance are handled by the Center for Wild Spirituality.
Nathan Schultz serves as a compensated contractor and co-leader for that program. Participants register directly with the Center for Wild Spirituality and are subject to its terms and policies.
